Travel from Athens to Cyprus aboard Running on Waves on an eight-day voyage combining tall-ship sailing, professional diving practice and advanced wreck-diving preparation.
The route crosses the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean, connecting Milos, Rhodes, Pefkos and Kastellorizo before reaching Cyprus for the main event of the programme: diving at the MS Zenobia wreck near Larnaca. Days ashore alternate with longer passages at sea, creating time for practical dives, theoretical training and life aboard a real sailing ship.
Practical diving sessions are organised with professional local diving centres and adapted to each guest’s experience and certification level. Guests should confirm in advance which equipment they will bring; missing equipment can be rented locally, while diving equipment, instructor services and guided underwater tours are not included in the cruise price.
Between training sessions, guests can relax in the Jacuzzi, use the ship’s kayaks, windsurf boards and snorkelling equipment, join sailing practices or spend time on the open decks. Full-board dining, comfortable cabins and a limited number of guests create a relaxed base for a programme built around diving, learning and long passages at sea
Running on Waves is organizing a grand dive cruise from November 7, 2026 to November 14, 2026, around the Greek islands, featuring the "Advanced Wreck Diving" training program.
First of all, our cruise is a great opportunity to:
- to forget about the usual routine for a week and spend time on board a sailing ship in the company of like-minded people,
- travel in cozy cabins,
- enjoy full meals,
- get an adventure a board tall ship,
- visit Milos, Rhodes and Castellorizo,
- master theoretical diving classes with an expert,
- practice diving lessons with the best equipment from professional diving clubs.
Our sailing cruise will include, for the first time, a course in "Psycho-Emotional Preparation."
- Neutralization and suppression of negative emotions;
- Physiological stress management;
- Self-regulation techniques and methods;
- What is necessary for wreck penetration diving;
- Replace panic with a clear action plan;
- Theory and practice of rescuing methods and techniques in emergency situations during wreck penetration diving;
- A clear algorithm for action according to emergency protocols.
- The swimmer must reach a state where any emergency
situation is perceived not as a catastrophe, but as a task requiring the implementation of a clear algorithm.
In an extreme situation, you will not rise to the level of your
expectations; you will fall to the level of your training. At some point, all illusions will disappear, and you will be left alone with
what you have trained within yourself.
Please let us know during booking what diving equipment you will be bringing with you and what you will be missing, and we will organise the rent from local diving centers (not included in the cruise price).
