With regard to navigation season starting on May 02, 2020, we have adopted the Risk Prevention Protocol, which generally follows the Guidelines by CLIA and in some points goes beyond.

May 2014. Races of large training sailboats STI (Sail Training International) were one of the highlights in the history of RUNNING ON WAVES. Thousands of visitors climbed on board at each port of the regatta, media, television, press conferences, honorable visitors and, of course, the race itself.

In May 2012 RUNNING ON WAVES flag was raised at the summit of Mount Everest. Interesting details of this story are following.

September 15, 2011 is a significant date in the history of the ship. On this day three bright events happened: grand formal completion of the expedition; the opening of the monument on the bay of Paralimni in honor of the completion of the expedition and in memory of all the dead sailors; an immersion of the cross with commemorative tablets in honor of the completion of the expedition in Russian, English and Greek.

The inauguration of the project took place in Gdansk, Poland, where the ship was built. The project was never announced in specialized media or anywhere else until fully completed.
